MobiCert Q&A
What is the chief advantage of MobiCert?
MobiCert replaces the weakness of the current userid/password mechanism with a highly secure mechanism. This is of critical importance for high privilege accounts in Windows environment - such as users belonging to the Domain Admin or Enterprise Admin groups. Additionally, options like PeerKnow, and DeclareIntent make this an excellent audit and monitoring tool.
Where are the main components of MobiCert deployed?
MobiCert has two software components - a modified Windows GINA, and a secure Web Application that can be hosted on existing Web Servers or use an external host.
I am already considering Biometrics as a dual factor authentication mechanism, how does MobiCert compare?
Fingerprinting and biometrics are prone to errors and make your employees feel like criminals. Stop messing with expensive, and unreliable toys and authenticate with the X.509 certificate your employees already have in their pockets.
